Construction - easier than you think!
GROUND CAPABLE OF SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTING LOAD
- Before assembly, we recommend construction a stable, level foundation. It forms the basis of all log cabins, eases assembly and considerably improves functionality and service life.
- A foundation can be a concrete slab, foundation block or pile foundation, for instance. You should also consider whether the house should be transportable, i.e. mobile and plan more customised reinforcements in the foundation.
PRE-ARRANGING PARTS
- It speeds up construction considerably and saves you endlessly searching for parts if you arrange and lay the parts on the ground according to the wall and ground plans.
ASSEMBLING
- All SCALOCAB-HOMES follow the same, simple slot-in principe. Most of the work involves connecting and slotting the planks together. You will have no difficulty constructing the cabin thanks to the precisely pre-cut tongues and grooves.

FITTING WINDOWS AND DOORS
- Once your house is approximately half-finished, insert your windows and door in the relevant places. Align and hammer into position - finished!
ASSEMBLING THE ROOF
- The roof beams are then bolted onto the finished house. The roof boards are fitted and then the roofing fabric is laid onto the boards for rain protection. We recommend laying a second layer (e.g. bitumin shingles* or a corrugated metal roof*) onto the roofing fabric.
